The most magical time of the year is finally here Houston! Decorations are being placed all throughout the city, lights and trees are being placed all around, and the radio stations are playing all the Christmas songs! In celebration of the Holiday season, we have put together a list of amazing Houston spots that will help you add some extra Christmas cheer this year!
We are starting off with the Houston Zoo Lights presented by TXU Energy! The Houston Zoo Lights are celebrating their tenth year of lighting up the night. Guests can enjoy a variety of light displays and sounds all over the zoo, as well as different photo and light galleries. There will be “snow” presented by Houston Methodist and photo ops with Santa Claus. If guests are wanting to see zoo animals they are encouraged to come during regular operating hours.

If you’re wanting a holiday experience that is out of this world, enjoy strolling through Galaxy Lights! The Space Center Houston will once again open its doors to guests to enjoy interactive and advanced light displays! Galaxy Lights offer two kinetic light shows for the whole family to enjoy! Galaxy Lights also offers a light tunnel, indoor entertainment, twinkling trees, light displays, and interactive light pads!

The Magical Winter Lights has arrived at the Houston Raceway Park. The Magical Winter Lights is a “larger than life” light show as well as themed lantern sections, local entertainment, carnival rides, games, and an interactive dinosaur area. The 20-acre raceway park is filled with many lights and activities that anyone can enjoy, and that will make your season even more magical and brighter!

The Houston Botanic Garden will also be making this holiday season brighter with the addition to the internationally acclaimed Lightscape. For the eighth year Sugar Land will be bringing their holiday magic this season! Sugar Land Lights will be a wonderland with more than three million lights! Holidays at the Garden has returned to bring the magic of the season. Moody Gardens offers the Festival of Lights offers a mile long trail with over two million lights to make your season bright! With two amazing locations in Spring and Katy! The Light Park is the “world’s longest synchronized tunnel, along with a three story Santa Claus”. Once you arrive at The Light Park, you will be invited to tune in to a special radio station playing holiday tunes that will be synchronized to the lights as you enjoy and drive through them!
